Flip the Switch: Sea Turtle Beach Cleanup & Happy Hour

Join Miami Beach Rising Above, MORAES of South Florida, and the Hilton Bentley Hotel for the “Flip the Switch” Sea Turtle Beach Cleanup Series — an evening dedicated to marine conservation, community engagement, and protecting South Florida’s sea turtles.

Participants will enjoy a guided beach cleanup behind the Hilton Bentley, where they will learn about marine debris, its effects on local sea turtle nesting, and best practices for coastal conservation. Following the beach cleanup, volunteers are invited to a Happy Hour event where we will have educational materials about sea turtles.

Whether you’re passionate about ocean conservation, interested in learning more about sea turtles, or simply looking for a meaningful way to give back to the environment, this event offers a hands-on opportunity to make a positive impact alongside fellow community members and conservation partners.

Location: 1 Street Beach

To help make the cleanup safe, comfortable, and enjoyable, we recommend volunteers bring:

• Reusable water bottle
• Sunscreen
• Hat and/or sunglasses
• Comfortable walking shoes or sandals
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• A positive attitude and willingness to help protect our beaches and sea turtles!
