Participants will enjoy a guided beach cleanup and learn about marine debris, how it affects local sea turtle nesting and best practices for coastal conservation. Following the beach cleanup, volunteers are invited to a Happy Hour event with educational materials about sea turtles.

The Miami Beach Resident Sustainability Committee will hold a virtual public meeting on Thursday, July 30, at 3 p.m. The committee provides recommendations on community-wide sustainability. The committee encourages environmental awareness among residents, employees, and business partners to help accomplish the goal of keeping Miami Beach environmentally and sustainably conscious.
