September 20 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am
Join us for the 40th anniversary of the International Coastal Cleanup, the world’s largest, one-day volunteer effort for our oceans and waterways. Show your commitment to reducing marine debris along with millions of volunteers from across the globe! Registration below is required to participate in the cleanup.
Date: Saturday, September 20
Time: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
The Environment & Sustainability Department will be leading a cleanup site at Monument Island to help keep our marine habitats cleaner and healthier, protecting our vital local ecosystems. This helps to ensure that future generations can enjoy the natural beauty of Biscayne Bay and the surrounding bodies of water. Garbage bags, gloves, data collection cards, and a souvenir tote bag will be provided for all volunteers.
Volunteers will be shuttled to Monument Island from Maurice Gibb Park Marina (18 St & Purdy Ave) via boat.
