Derricotte/Eady Prize Chapbook Release Reading with Chaun Ballard

Join The Betsy Hotel for an evening of poetry in celebration of National Poetry Month, presented in partnership with O, Miami and Cave Canem. This special program features a reading by Chaun Ballard, winner of the 2025 Cave Canem Chapbook Award.

Ballard’s manuscript, Love Letters to My Future Self, was selected as the winner of the 2025 Derricotte/Eady Prize, recognizing a powerful and compelling new voice in contemporary poetry. Guests are invited to experience an evening of reflection, language, and literary community in one of Miami Beach’s most vibrant cultural spaces.
