City of Miami Beach Juneteenth- A Day of Freedom Celebration

Celebrate Juneteenth with live dance and drumline performances, including Miami’z Finest, Florida Memorial University’s The ROAR Drumline and the Peter London Global Dance Company. This lively procession down Lincoln Road will showcase the spirit and strength of the Black community through stunning movement and sound. The dance program celebrates the rich, spiritual and secular diversity found in traditional dance and music from Africa to the New World as well as the Black community’s ability to adapt to the pressures of near insurmountable challenges and near annihilation of its cultural heritage and significance, driving its core ability to survive and thrive through the power of improvisation and innovation.
