Miami Beach Orchid Society: The Ghost Orchid and other spooky tales featuring Dr. Jason Downing

Dr. Downing will share the latest research and conservation efforts surrounding the mysterious Ghost orchid. With over a decade of work in orchid conservation across Florida and beyond, Dr. Downing brings deep insight, fascinating field stories, and a powerful message about the challenges these orchids still face—even after being rediscovered. He will also share his local work with the Million Orchid Project. We will also be having a Halloween costume contest so wear your best nature-themed costume! Don’t forget this meeting will be at the Miami Beach Woman’s Club with a parking lot adjacent to the building.
