DESCRIPTION:The City of Miami Beach will be hosting upcoming free sandless sandbag distribution events to help residents stay prepared this hurricane season. \nDistribution dates: \nSaturday\, June 6 | 9 AM – 12 PM \nSunday\, June 14 | 9 AM – 12 PM \n  \nTwo surface parking lot locations: \nSouth/Mid Beach: 3501 Collins Avenue \nNorth Beach: 7940 Collins Avenue \nThe sandless sandbags come prefilled with silica gel beads that expand in water. There is a limit of 4 per household while supplies last. Residents are required to show proof of residency via a government-issued ID or utility bill. \nFor instructions on how to activate\, use and dispose of the sandless sandbags\, visit miamibeachfl.gov/flood-awareness.
